About the authors
Morgan Gagnon
Morgan Gagnon is a Policy Researcher with the Provincial Employment Roundtable (PERT). She is interested in Quebec higher education policy and theories of institutional responsibility. She completed her Master’s degree in Philosophy at Concordia University, where she was awarded a SSHRC scholarship for her research on university sexual violence policies and educational accessibility. Previously, she completed a Bachelor’s degree at Bishop’s University, where she served as President of the Students’ Representative Council and gained extensive experience in building relationships with community and regional partners. Her work has been published in the Springer Journal of Ethics.
John Davids
John is the Research Coordinator at the Black Community Resource Centre (BCRC) and has been part of the organization since 2020. He was the Lead Researcher for the Black in Quebec project and was a team member on the Education to Employability Study released in 2022 in collaboration with the Provincial Employment Roundtable of Quebec (PERT). He has an MA in Political Science from York University and his research interests generally revolve around politics and sociology especially when combined with other disciplines and studies such as technology, language, race, etc.
